All fees benefit the work of the Gandhi Institute. \nBring a bag lunch or order lunch with us afterward. \nPlease register in advance to ensure that we have adequate space. \n  \nJuly 12: Conflict Without Contempt \nConflict is often presented as a negative experience to avoid\, which locks down creativity and prevents necessary conversations from taking place. Through interactive exercises\, discussion\, and role play\, this workshop focuses on:\n•       Exploring thoughts and people who we associate\nwith conflict\n•       Discussing different conflict resolution frameworks\n•       Exploring the relationship between trust\, creativity\,\nand conflict \nRegistration Closed \n  \nJuly 19: Implicit Bias \nThis workshop is an opportunity to explore some of the underlying dynamics that create persistent issues of exclusion and inequity in many settings. Topics include an overview of cognitive blind spots\, creating shared definitions of terms\, and exploring the framework of intention vs impact. This experiential workshop includes hands-on activities\, small group and large group conversations. \nRegistration Closed \n  \nAugust 02: Cultural Humility \nThrough interactive exercises\, this workshop supports understanding of a process-oriented mindset in relation to other cultures. Cultural Humility is a discipline of seeking to understand in the spirit of inquiry rather than from a sense of embarrassment or shame. This workshop will introduce tools related to systems thinking and perspectives\, to support understanding of systemic issues and clues to create systemic change. \nRegistration Closed \n  \nAugust 09: Technology and Mental Health  \nSmartphones and social media have become major parts of our lives. They are designed using cutting edge research about how human brains and attention spans work to make them incredibly compelling\, impacting mental health and relationships especially when families clash over their use. These conflicts can offer opportunities for dialogue about values and about coexisting with care in a technologically dynamic world.
