DESCRIPTION:Register to join here! \nCreativity meets connection at the Season for Nonviolence Creative Cafes! Join us in exploring the values of the 64-day Season for Nonviolence through crafts\, connection & community. In each session\, we’ll draw inspiration from values of the Season\, but how you express it is entirely up to you. All are welcome\, no crafting experience or prior knowledge of nonviolence is needed.  \nThe Season for Nonviolence marks the 64 days between the anniversaries of the deaths of Mohandas Gandhi on January 30 and Martin Luther King Jr. on April 4. Each year\, people around the world participate in the Season for Nonviolence by taking a pledge to create intentional time in their day to reflect on different parts of nonviolence. These Creative Cafes offer a chance for folks to engage in the Season through crafting and community across 64 days; we hope to see you there!  \nCreative Cafe sessions will be held at the Gandhi Institute on the following Thursdays at 5 PM:  \n\nJanuary 30\nFebrurary 13\nFebruary 27\nMarch 13\nMarch 27\nApril 3

DESCRIPTION:Click here to register for Community Roundtables!\nThe April Community Roundtable will be on Saturday\, April 19 at 11 AM\, we will continue chatting about Nonviolence in 2025.\n\n  \nIn a time when online echo chambers deepen division and disconnection\, coming together face-to-face is more important than ever. The Community Roundtables offer a space to share perspectives\, make sense of what’s happening in the world\, and remain connected to one another. This series will be at the Gandhi Institute on the third Saturday of each month at 11 AM – 1 PM EST\, beginning on Saturday\, March 15. \nEach session will focus on dialogue topics that matter to the Rochester community—some selected by Gandhi Institute staff and others chosen by participants based on pressing issues and events. Through open conversation\, we cultivate understanding and plant the seeds for collective action—whether by strengthening existing efforts or inspiring new initiatives.
