Our online grief circle is a biweekly gathering to honor the pain and sorrow that comes from living in a complicated world. It is a place for listening and presence\, not for advice or judgment.\n\nEvery kind of grief\, big or small\, is welcome. Whether it’s sorrow from personal loss\, burnout from the work you do\, or a heavy heart for the state of the world\, all of your grief is welcome here.\nAs Joanna Macy reminds us\, “The most important thing to do is to be with your pain\, and not to deny it. In doing that\, you’re not alone.”\nWe’ll meet (mostly) biweekly on Thursdays\, from 4-5 pm ET on Zoom between September 18th and January 29th\, 2026. We will chat about community issues that are on our hearts and minds.\n\nAbout the Series: \nIn a time when online echo chambers deepen division and disconnection\, coming together face-to-face is more important than ever. The Community Roundtables offer a space to share perspectives\, make sense of what’s happening in the world\, and remain connected to one another.\nThis series will be at the Gandhi Institute on the third Saturday of each month at 11 AM – 1 PM EST.\nEach session will focus on open dialogue or specific topics that matter to the Rochester community—some selected by Gandhi Institute staff and others chosen by participants based on pressing issues and events. Through open conversation\, we cultivate understanding and plant the seeds for collective action—whether by strengthening existing efforts or inspiring new initiatives.
