Victoria Bothner
Tori is a seasoned Development Officer focusing on advancing the Cardiology service line at the Sands Constellation Heart Institute. Her journey into philanthropy began at the University of Rochester, where she served as a major gift officer with a specialization in Varsity Athletics and the College. During her tenure, Tori showcased her fundraising prowess by securing multiple impressive six-figure gifts, a testament to her ability to cultivate meaningful relationships with donors.
One of Tori’s notable achievements at the University of Rochester was the establishment of the Rochester’s Women in Sport Initiative, a groundbreaking program aimed at empowering female athletes and enhancing their experiences within the athletic community. Her dedication and innovative approach not only elevated the university’s fundraising efforts but also fostered a culture of inclusivity and support.
Before her transition to development work, Tori demonstrated her leadership skills as an accomplished coach at St. John Fisher University, where she led the Field Hockey team to success both on and off the field. Her experience as a coach instilled in her a deep understanding of teamwork, perseverance, and the importance of setting and achieving goals. Tori is an experienced K-12 Health and Physical Education Teacher who has held positions at Monroe Community College, The Norman Howard School, and within the RCSD. Before transitioning to the field of education, Tori honed her skills as a technical writer and editor at Eastman Kodak Company, where she played a pivotal role in supporting projects in Digital and Applied Imaging as well as Consumer Imaging.
With her diverse background spanning athletics, coaching, teaching, and philanthropy, Tori brings a unique perspective to her role as a Board Member at The Gandhi Institute. She is passionate about making a difference and is committed to leveraging her skills and experience to drive positive change within the Institute, Rochester Regional Health, and the Rochester community.
