Picture of Alejandra Washington

Alejandra Washington

Born and raised in Rochester, NY, Alejandra has attended multiple schools throughout the Rochester City School District. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. She attended Monroe Community College immediately after high school. Two years into college, she decided to take a break to find her passion. She finally decided to return to college and now attends Finger Lakes Community College pursing a degree in Criminal Justice. Alejandra and her green thumb found each other during a elementary school project. She is a self taught gardener and continues to learn new tips and tricks for a bountiful harvest. She wishes to teach others the many benefits of gardening. Alejandra would also like to find a way to intertwine the wholesomeness of gardening with community corrections with hopes to break barriers and strengthen bonds between the community and justice system.
