Saabirah Campo

Saabirah Campo was born and raised in Guyana. Through her lived experience, she recognizes the power of sharing narratives to foster empathy and understanding. She is dedicated to using her voice and experiences to challenge stereotypes and advocate for social change to create a more inclusive and equitable world.

She is experienced in promoting workplace diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). She serves as the DEI Officer for the Golisano Children’s Hospital at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Saabirah is pivotal in developing, implementing, and communicating DEI programs and initiatives aligned with the university’s anti-racism action plan.

Her educational journey includes pursuing a Doctor of Education in Educational Administration, focusing on Higher Education at the University of Rochester. She also holds a Master’s and a Bachelor of Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
